Conquer ELITE (English Language In-depth Tests and Evaluation) PRIMARY LEVEL 2 tests and evaluates a child’s ability in the areas of grammar, vocabulary, comprehension and writing.

Target Group: Primary levels 1 to 6

Learning Objectives:
• To provide a rigorous analytics of a child’s level of English learning through a unique series of diagnostics tests;
• To help students evaluate and present information in different text types, respond critically to important examination questions and express themselves clearly and creatively in speech and written work.

Key Features of Conquer ELITE (English Language In-depth Tests and Evaluation) PRIMARY LEVEL 2:
• Diagnostic Tests: There are 12 Diagnostic Tests that are similar to the latest comprehension and continuous writing format of the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).
• Creative Thinking: This section at the end of each Diagnostic Test allows the child to use his imagination and express his creativity.
• Pointers: This is a separate booklet consisting of hints, model essays and a glossary.
• Helpful Hints: Clues on selected questions to help the child choose the appropriate answers to the questions are provided.
• Model Essays: Children can refer to the model essays for ideas on writing techniques. A step-by-step guide provided with each model essay provides additional tips on how to improve on their writing.
• Glossary & Creative Words and Phrases: A list of selected words and phrases from each exercise is provided to build vocabulary and improve comprehension.
• Noteworthy: Explanation on different text types and their common features are provided to give children a wider exposure and understanding of them.
• Diagnostic Tools: This is presented as a table at the end of each test. A detailed breakdown of the marks obtained in the various sections of the test will allow for the targeting of specific areas of weakness and hence the identification of subsequent revision.
• Specific Marking Scheme: A marking scheme provides a guideline on how to grade the child’s writing based on the two main categories – Content and Language.
• Answers: A separate booklet for quick and easy reference is provided.
• Tear-out Format: This means the tests can be easily removed and presented as assignments. The glossary, pointers and answer pages can be removed and filed away for future reference.
