Taking care of your child’s teeth is as important as caring for his overall health. Did you know that dental health for a child should begin as soon as he grows his first tooth? 

Poor oral care may result in cavities, diseases and infections. Daily oral hygiene practices and regular dental visits are crucial in maintaining healthy teeth so that your child can eat and talk without any issues! 

Below are some tips on how to care for your child’s teeth:  

  1. Set a timer

Make sure that your child brushes his teeth thoroughly for at least 2 minutes. Alternatively, to make it more fun, you can also play his favourite song. 

  1. Read books or watch videos on oral hygiene together

  1. Watch their diet

Cavities usually result from sugary snacks or drinks. Make sure that your child doesn’t consume too much sugar. You should reward him if he maintains good oral practices, but replace these treats with healthy sugar-free snacks instead.
